Jeff Bezos’ upcoming marriage to his long-term partner is set to be a lavish affair but people have started mocking the pair after the wedding invites were revealed.
Jeff Bezos may be one of the richest people in the world so you would be forgiven for thinking everything he has and does is the best of the best.
I mean, the Amazon founder is set to have lavish wedding in Venice, Italy with long-term partner Lauren Sanchez.

But in case you weren’t invited to the picturesque nuptials (I wasn’t either), you can only imagine what it will be like.
If the couple’s invites are anything to go by, you might not be missing out on much, at least according to the people of the internet.
A leaked image of the actual invitations to his some 200 guests has found its way on to the internet and has pretty much got everyone saying the same thing.

The invite read: “We are excited for you to join us! We have one early request: please, no gifts.
“Instead, we’re making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.
“Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard this city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the vital lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.
“This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”

But these sweet words aren’t what caused the mockery online but rather the format and design choices. That it basically... well it looks kind of disappointing.

One person on Instagram commented: “All the money of the world and that’s your invitation card design? Bro you can get good ones on Amazon.”
Another joked: “This invite was proudly sponsored by Microsoft Paint and zero adult supervision.”

A third added: “All that money and they couldn’t hire a designer for that invitation?”
Another commented: “Seriously that's a wedding invitation of a billionaire? Who designed it and who approved it.. both have bad bad taste.”
With another person joking: “Money can’t buy taste. That invite was made on the canva app in the 11 minute trip to 'space.'"
Well, despite the ‘meh’ invitation, I'm sure it will be a memorable day out for the guests, how many people can say they’ve been to a billionaire’s wedding after all.
