A reality TV star has said that Jake Gyllenhaal made her cry on the red carpet.

Ali Fedotowsky looked back on her first-ever encounter interviewing the award-winning actor and has claimed that he reduced her to tears after a very uncomfortable interaction.

It was so bad that Fedotowsky even feared losing her job afterwards.

Fedotowsky is best known for her involvement in the hit television show The Bachelor.

She starred in season 14 of the dating show back in January 2010, where she was placed with 24 other women all contending for the affection of pilot Jake Pavelka.

Due to work conflicts, she ended up eliminating herself in week six, but then returned to the sixth season of The Bachelorette to pick up her efforts searching for a soulmate just a matter of months later in May.

The mother-of-two ended up getting engaged to Roberto Martinez on the finale of the show.

After staying engaged for 18 months, the pair eventually decided to call it quits.

Fedotowsky then went on to marry TV host Kevin Manno tying the knot back in 2017 and the two have been together ever since.

Fedotowsky went on to work as a news correspondent for E! News, which is what brought her to that fateful day where she first met Gyllenhaal.

It did not go smoothly.

Speaking on yesterday's (29 March) episode of the 'Women on Top' podcast, host Roxy Manning asked the reality TV star about her worst celebrity encounter during her stint whilst working for E! News.

"Sorry, Jake Gyllenhaal," Fedotowsky began, "I’m going to Taylor Swift you right now," referring to the singer's many songs about her relationship with the Brokeback Mountain actor.

Recalling her 'first red carpet' for the news outlet, she revealed: "Jake Gyllenhaal shows up for the red carpet.

"I’m like 'I’m gonna kill it. I’m gonna be so good', I practised. I rehearsed my questions. I was so ready to go."

However, she almost crumbled following Gyllenhaal's icy reaction to one of her questions.

The former E! News correspondent said she immediately 'started crying' after the interaction.

The TV personality remembered just how starstruck she was by the red carpet experience, admitting she was 'shaking in [her] heels'.

"I say to him, 'Hi, Jake who’d you bring tonight? Like, for a date, like, who’s your date tonight?'" she told the host.

A fairly common question to ask at a red carpet, if you ask me.

At which point the A-lister allegedly rudely blew her off.

"He goes, 'Bye bye,' and walked away from me," Fedotowsky claimed.

Ouch.

The uncomfortable interaction was so shocking to Fedotowsky that she immediately 'started crying' over worries that she was going to get fired over it, only to see the actor allegedly do the exact same thing to the next reporter.

She concluded that working as an E! News correspondent was the 'least favourite job [she] ever had'.

No wonder.
