Hilary Duff has spoken about the rumored fallout with her sister, Haylie Duff.
In her new album, Luck... or Something, one track in particular is believed to reference the relationship between Hilary and her older sibling.
They haven't been pictured together for over six years, and some fans thought 'We Don't Talk' could be in reference to their estrangement.
The lyrics to the song read: "Don't know when it happened / Not even sure what it was about.

"Cause we come from the same home, same blood.
"People ask me how you're doing / I wanna say amazing, but the truth is that I don't know / What I always end up saying is how we don't talk / we don't talk about it / We don't talk about anything anymore."

The track then calls for a truce, with the star singing: "Let's have it out / I'll hear you out, you'll hear me out on the couch / Get back to how we were as kids / Let's break it down / So sick of being so sad about / How we don't talk and you won't talk about it."
After hearing the song, one person wrote: "It’s about her sister Haylie!!"
While another added: "It’s 100% about Haylie. But not mean at all. Basically telling her to reach out."
Speaking to Glamour, Hilary explained she's 'had a very complicated life', and opened up about the issues within her family.
"That’s my family. Those are the people that affect you the most, take up the most space naturally as a human who’s born into something," she said.

The singer continued: "Just because you’re born into a family doesn’t mean that it always stays together. You can only control your side and your street… I’ve had a very complicated life, and my parents had a very complicated thing.
"I know it’s not rare, and I think it goes back to the theme of, Why share now? I guess I just felt ready."

Hilary's parents, Bob and Susan Duff, divorced after 20 years of marriage. In 2008, Bob was jailed for contempt of court for selling family assets without approval.
"Susan was very consumed with the girls’ careers…We simply grew apart," Bob later told Inside Edition.
"I was unfaithful to our marriage. I feel very badly about that and the effect that it had on the girls."
UNILAD has reached out to Haylie for comment.
