Dave Bautista is on the lookout for a little bit more romance in his life.

A romantic movie, we mean. Not like that, get your filthy mind out of the gutter.

While the Guardians of the Galaxy star admitted he's never been offered a rom-com role, that doesn't mean he wouldn't give it a crack.

"I know I’m not your typical rom-com lead,” the 54-year-old said at the New York premiere of his latest flick, Knock at the Cabin.

"I’m a little rough around the edges.

"But I always, you know, I look in the mirror and I say, I ask myself, 'Am I that unattractive? Is there something that is unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?"

If you ask us, he's a legend. But Bautista just doesn't see it.

He told Page Six: "I don’t know. It’s just never come my way. I’ve never had an offer to do a rom-com. I still have high hopes."

He added: "I’ll just keep searching."

Meanwhile, the rest of the world can see what he cannot: a talented actor with a well-muscled rig thanks to a wrestling career spanning back decades.

He started wrestling in 1999 signed with the then-World Wrestling Federation in 2001 (which was renamed WWE in 2002).

Before that, his defined shape was thanks to his years of being a bouncer, a job he began in his teens.

"I bounced all of my 20s up until I was 30 years [old]. I started bouncing when I was 17, and there was always some drunk a**hole who wanted to test me," he told Page Six.

"And then I went into wrestling, where it was really just [a] toxic environment where I was again. I always felt like [I was in a] bad environment,” the actor continued.

"I always felt like I had to posture up, and it was a relief that I never had to do that anymore."

But, even though working in security kept him in killer shape, the Glass Onion actor revealed he's more of a pacifist than a fisticuffs kind of guy.

"I’d rather handle it verbally," he said on the red carpet.

"I’d always rather go there.

"And I’m kind of proud that I’ve turned into that guy, because when I was younger, I wasn’t that guy."

Cool, calm, fit, strong, and talented.

Sorry, Bautista, but we think you're wrong on this one, because all we can see rom-com leading man material from over here.
