Danny DeVito fans baffled as actor posts series of bizarre NSFW tweets

Many thought that the actor's account had been hacked

Fans grew concerned that Danny DeVito’s Twitter account had been hacked following a stream of bizarre not-suitable-for-work messages that were shared on his profile - but it turns out there was a perfectly harmless reason.

The actor shared a string of expletive-filled posts, including: “Raise your hand if you f**ked the devil” and “I’d rather f**k a dog than be in a relationship. P**s my pants!”

As you can probably imagine, the unusual messages prompted many fans to think his account had been hacked, with one person posting: “I have a feeling that Danny DeVito might have gotten hacked.”

Another said: “Who on here is hacking Danny DeVito's Twitter like c'mon y'all.”

While a third stated: “Someone hacked his account.”

However, it turns out that DeVito was actually just doing some live tweeting of his new cartoon show Little Demon, in which he voices the Devil.

Among the more… erm… colourful posts, DeVito also urged his followers to watch the show, posting: “Two first two episodes on FXX then steaming on HULU.”

And then, seemingly after seeing the response to this previous posts, the actor cleared things up further by writing: “Everyone on the a west coast is wondering if I’m insane. Watch Little Demon at 10 PM tonight on FXX or tomorrow on Hulu . All your questions will be answered.”

Little Demon, streaming on Hulu, centres on Chrissy (voiced by DeVito’s real life daughter Lucy) - a 13-year-old, who just happens to be the spawn of Satan.

Created by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla, Little Demon sees ‘deadbeat dad’ Satan trying to reconnect with Chrissy, much to the annoyance of mum Laura (played by Aubrey Plaza).

Speaking about his new role, DeVito told Vanity Fair: “Playing the devil is a really great thing, because the idea is that the devil has his problems in his realms. What’s-his-name kicked him out of heaven, and there are so many intricate monster, beast challengers. He’s got friends that make Tony Soprano look like a choir boy.

“And so this guy has got a lot of hurdles. I’m a little rough around the edges, a little crude, and I’ve got a lot of learning to do, but I’ve got a business to run. And I need my daughter. I only get her every other weekend, but I’m not a deadbeat dad — I’m doing my best!”
