Doctor urges Chris Pratt to seek medical help after he posted picture of his toe

He might be one of The Guardians of the Galaxy, but Chris Pratt hasn't been taking good care of his feet.

A doctor has urged Chris Pratt to seek medical care after the actor uploaded a rather, um, gross photo of his toe.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star certainly made people’s toes curl after he uploaded his Met Gala ‘look’ to Instagram.

However, his pinkie toe’s unsightly appearance has caused a podiatrist to reach out to the actor and ask that he get it checked out.

The Met Gala took place last Monday (1 May) with celebs sharing their best looks during one of the biggest nights in the fashion industry.

Whilst Vogue's editor in Chief, Anna Wintour, may have approved the red carpet looks, Pratt refused to miss out on the action.

Just days later, the MCU actor shared a photo of his thickened and yellowing toenail.

Even those with a foot fetish would not be very impressed with the pic, and like other Met Gala attendees, the 43-year-old has seemingly broken the internet as fans reacted to the image.

His wife and mother-in-law even had something to say about it too.

But not only has Pratt's photograph gone viral and gained over 400,000 likes on Instagram, it has also sparked concern among his millions of followers about his health.

The offending foot has caused concern online.

This also includes Dr Brad Schaeffer, a celebrity surgeon and podiatrist, who has urged Pratt to seek medical attention.

The foot expert, who has appeared on TLC’s My Feet Are Killing Me, gave his honest opinion to TMZ, saying that the A-lister probably has a common fungal infection.

He told the outlet: “Chris Pratt has an interesting case of Tinea Unguium and I know that sounds crazy but at the end of the day, it’s just straight-up toenail fungus.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, one in ten people will suffer from the condition, also known as Onychomycosis, which causes nails to rapidly thicken or separate from the nail bed.

It can also result in toenails cracking or generally looking misshapen, as well as changing to a white, yellow or brown color.

Chris Pratt has been advised to seek medical attention.

“He’s not going to be getting too many followers from that,” Dr Schaeffer joked, adding “What he needs to is get it checked out by people like me…. podiatrists.”

According to the expert, Pratt’s case is thankfully ‘not too severe’ and he could get it 'taken care of pretty easy and quick', depending on if the other nails are infected, in which case he would need to get 'those taken out'.

While Pratt might need to get the nail removed, the doctor emphasised that the condition is ‘not life-threatening’.

And Dr Schaeffer has even offered the Parks & Rec star his services, commenting on his post: "If u want that nail taken care of….would love to help you out!"
