Beyoncé has thanked the queer community for their part in her incredible run at the 65th Grammy Awards.

The legendary singer has made history tonight (February 6) by becoming the artist with the highest number of Grammys ever.

She overtook Georg Solti's longstanding record of 31 Grammys after winning four awards at tonight's glitzy ceremony.

When she got on stage to accept the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album, the gong that pushed her onto the throne with 32 awards, she was struggling to hold back tears.

“I’m trying not to be too emotional," she told the roaring crowd.

"I’m trying to just receive this night. I wanna thank God for protecting me.

"Thank you, God. I’d like to thank my Uncle Jonny, who’s not here but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents — my father, my mother, for loving me and pushing me.

"I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching.

"I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing the genre.

"God bless you. Thank you so much to the Grammys.”

The audience at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles cheered and applauded the iconic artist and let her take the moment in.

Beyoncé has been nominated for a jaw-dropping nine Grammy Awards tonight and has taken home three other gongs so far.

She won Best Traditional R&B Performance ('Plastic Off The Sofa'), Best Dance/Electronic Recording ('Break My Soul') and Best R&B Song for 'Cuff It'.

The artist posted on Instagram thanking everyone for getting her to this point in her career.

She said: "To my Hive, thank y’all so much for all of your love and loyalty! Big thank you for the BREAK MY SOUL and CUFF IT wins!!! To The Dream, Tricky, HOV, and Big Freedia. I love y’all!

"Syd, I’ve always been such a fan of yours. Thank you.

"Nova Wav, Morten Ristorp, Raphael Saadiq, and Nile Rodgers, thank you for pouring into CUFF IT.

"Big thanks to Sabrina Claudio, Nick Green and Patrick Paige II. PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA is my favorite song on RENAISSANCE most days. It’s hard to pick though. Haaa.

"It feels great to be honored for the vocal performance. Thank you to all the talented vocalists who killed those beautiful TikTok renditions!

"I feel very grateful and filled with joy!"

Congratulations Beyoncé, soak up this time and relish in it.
