Beyoncé and Jay-Z ‘paid in cash’ when purchasing their new $200 million home

The couple has officially taken the most expensive home in California off the market.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z apparently 'paid in cash' for their USD $200 million mansion (AUD $300m) in Malibu.

The power couple has officially purchased the most expensive home ever sold in the state of California, beating the previous record of USD $177 million (AUD $265m), as per TMZ.

The outlet says they managed to fork out the incredible amount in physical cash, which is just mind blowing.

Additionally, it's also the second most expensive home in the country, with the most expensive price belonging to a USD $238 million (AUD $357m) New York City apartment.

Yes, apartment.

According to Forbes, Jay and Bey reportedly got a discount on the luxurious Malibu estate, as it was originally privately listed for USD $295 million (AUD $442m).

The home was designed by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, well-known for producing a 'haiku' effect, emphasizing the 'beauty of simplicity.'

He often favors complex spatial designs while highlighting their simplicity and boldness.

And this project was no small feat.

Their mansion, which spans 30,000 square feet, took five years to complete.

It overlooks the Pacific Ocean and has an expansive lawn that has plenty of room for Blue, Rumi and Sir to run around in.

Forbes added that the home 'has a private beach, an infinity pool that seems to stretch off into the ocean, and Zen water features'.

The music icons have accumulated an impressive real estate portfolio over the past couple of years.

In addition to their new house, the couple own a home in TriBeCa and a USD $88 million (AUD $132m) mansion in the gated community of Bel Air.

However, it's unknown if they still have their fire-damaged mansion in New Orleans, as it was listed for sale but then taken off the market in 2021, according to Vanity Fair.

Beyoncé is currently in the UK on her Renaissance world tour before she heads to Paris, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland.

Earlier this month, Jay and his oldest child Blue were seen in the VIP section attending the show in Sweden.

According to Teen Vogue, Blue, looking nearly identical to her mom, wore long braids, hoops, and an oversized t-shirt, while Jay-Z kept it casual in an all-black fit, hat, and sunglasses.

The fan who captured footage of the duo captioned the video: “Manager Ivy was there to make sure everything was running smooth.”
