Beyoncé and Jay-Z have made history by buying the most expensive home ever listed in the state of California.

Music's most famous power couple have splashed their cash on a 30,000-square ft. home in the stunning locale of Malibu overlooking Paradise Cove.

The real estate purchase set the couple back $200 million, according to TMZ, which makes it the most expensive transaction ever for a home in the West Coast state.

Before the Carters swooped in and bought their new home, the record for the record for the most expensive home sold in the Golden State exchanged hands for $177 million after Marc Andreessen purchased it.

The Carter's new home purchase is impressive outside of California. When looking at real estate purchases nationally, the price tag the couple paid for their new house is second only to billionaire Ken Griffin, who purchased a penthouse in the Big Apple for $238 million in 2019.

The house was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, Consequence of Sound reports. Well-known art collector William Bell used to own the building and spent 15 years remodelling and constructing the home, which is made of concrete.

It sits on an eight-acre bluff and is located in the area known as Billionaire’s Row.

TMZ reports that the home was listed for $295 million, meaning that the ‘Break My Soul’ hitmaker and her Roc Nation boss husband secured an impressive deal.

The Billionaire couple are reportedly set to keep their $88 million two-acre Bel-Air home they bought in 2017.

    It’s nice to have options!

And it should come as no surprise that the couple are able to keep two multi-million dollar homes as Beyoncé is worth an estimated $500 million while HOV has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion.

As her hotly anticipated 'Renaissance Tour' continues across Europe this month, Beyoncé teased another business venture which will expand her portfolio into the world of hair care.

The Houston-born singer and actress revealed her plans to continue her mother’s legacy by launching her own products.

"How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” the mum-of-three captioned an Instagram post of herself doing her hair.

Beyoncé announced plans for a hair care line.

“Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls.

“I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

We can’t wait to see what you have in store, Bey!
