Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis spark debate after saying they will not leave any of their fortune to kids

If you're the child of two of Hollywood's best-known actors, surely you'll end up as some sort of nepotism baby... right?

If you're the child of two of Hollywood's best-known actors, surely you'll end up as some sort of nepotism baby... right?

Wrong, because Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's children aren't set to receive a single penny of their fortune once the actors have departed this world.

People have flocked to social media in debate over resurfaced comments made by Kutcher which reveal the pair's two children won't be getting their hands on any of their $275 million (£222m) fortune.

Kutcher revealed his and Kunis' plans for their children a few years ago on the Dax Shepard podcast, with the actor saying: "I'm not setting up a trust for them. We'll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things."

The reason behind Kutcher and Kunis' decision? Because their children already live a 'really privileged life' and 'don't even know it'.

"And they'll never know it because this is the only one that they'll know," Kutcher continued.

However, while Kunis and Kutcher aren't planning on setting up trust funds for their kids, that's not to say the parents aren't open to giving their children money in the future.

Kutcher explained: "If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I'll invest in it. But they're not getting trusts."

Kutcher and Kunis' celebrity parenting stance has since sparked a heated online debate, with many users having praised their decision to not give their children any of their fortune.

One Twitter user said: "It's fine, just because they're the children of a famous couple, they will have opportunities a little easier than the others."

"Way to fight nepotism for a cause guys," a second wrote.

Another commented: "I think they have a lot of faith in their children and have seen what happens to other families."

While a fourth added: "It’s not like they won’t still have money. They just want their kids to work for it like they did. I totally get it."

Social media users have had a divided response to Kutcher and Kunis' plans.

However, others have been left fairly outraged by the actors' decision, with one saying: "Why just your kids? Give it away right now so you don't spoil yourself either."

"Coming from someone who’s family has no money to pass down and I to raw dog life in THIS economy… at lease save them 10k or something damn," another said.

A third commented: "I think it’s so weird when parents choose to do this. Especially, when their kids are still young. I can understand if there’s a reason (like having Hunter Biden for a kid), but to not leave your children ANYTHING seems cruel to me."

And a final resolved: "I would hate being their nepo baby."
