Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis filmed apology in same place they used to mock infamous ‘humble’ celeb videos

Eagle-eyed Redditors have spotted a similarity between Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's The Boys parody feature and their Danny Masterson letter apology video.

Earlier this month, the two stars apologized after their character letter for now-convicted rapist Masterson was leaked.

In the letter, Kutcher hailed his That 70s Show co-star as a 'role model' and claimed that he was instrumental in keeping Kutcher away from 'the typical Hollywood life of drugs'.

And Kunis said he had 'exceptional character' and said she could 'sense his innate goodness' when she first met him.

Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in jail for the rapes of two women following his trial at Los Angeles Superior Court on 7 September.

And a few days after his conviction, Kunis and Kutcher shared a clip addressing their letters.

Kutcher explained: "A couple months ago Danny’s family reached out to us and they asked us to write character letters to represent the person that we knew for 25 years, so that the judge could take that into full consideration relative to the sentencing."

He went on: "They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way.

"We’d never want to do that, and we’re sorry if that has taken place."

Kunis then ended the video by saying: "Our heart goes out to every single person who’s ever been a victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape."

However, someone who watched their apology video realised that they'd seen that wall before.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher apologised for the letters they'd written.

One Redditor were quick to point out that the celebrity couple had filmed the apology video in the same spot as their The Boys 'Imagine' parody clip.

Following Gal Gadot's infamous video over the pandemic, where she and a handful of other famous faces sang segments of John Lennon's hit song, 'Imagine', The Boys decided to incorporate their own version of it into the show.

And Kunis and Kutcher featured in the parody and filmed their part from the comfort of their own home in front of a wooden panelled wall - the same one seen in their Masterson letter apology video.

Pointing this out on Reddit, one user wrote: "The 'Imagine' parody of The Boys featuring Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis was filmed in the same place of their 'apology' video."

While another said: "'Mila! Quick! To the relatable, no-makeup wall!'"

A third added: "It's ironic that here they are parodying celebrities trying to be relatable for a dark comedy TV show, and a year later they do it for real in the same spot."

However, a few people came to Kunis and Kutcher's defence, saying it's their home so it's inevitable that they're going to be spotted in the same place.

"I mean, probably their house, right?" someone queried.

"It’s their f**king house," another added. "Do Internet people not know how real life works?"
