Alec Baldwin completely 'forgot' one of his kids in tribute post to his children

Alec Baldwin made a huge social media parenting blunder after forgetting to add one of his children to a tribute post.

Baldwin took to Instagram this week to share Carousel post in tribute to his children.

The Beetlejuice star, 65, has eight children in total, but fans were quick to point out the actor had only written 'seven' in his Instagram caption and he only posted seven pictures.

Each slide shows a portrait of one of his children his shares with his wife Hilaria Baldwin: Carmen, nine, Rafael, seven, Leonardo, six, Romeo, four, Eduardo, two, Lucia, two and Ilaria, seven months.

"Seven reasons to carry on during some tough times," he wrote in the caption. "I’m not gonna lie, without my family, I don’t know what my life would be."

Fans were quick to call out the apparent snub in the comments section. “Don’t you have eight children?” one person commented.

Another cheeky fan wrote: “I’m sure your oldest is happy you left her out.”

Adding more salt to the wound, one follower wrote: “You should consider having another Balwinito to make it an even number. #8.”

The missing ‘Balwinito’ from the post is, of course, Ireland Baldwin – the 27-year-old model and animal rights activist Baldwin shares with actress and former model Kim Basinger.

“I’m missing your beautiful Ireland,” one fan commented.

One follower asked: “Why didn’t you mention Ireland?”

Someone else penned: “Don’t forget your [first] cute cub, Ireland!”

Baldwin must have seen the comments because he wasted no time in correcting his faux pas. The Glengarry Glen Ross star uploaded a black and white modelling shot of his eldest child and admitted he forget to add her to his previous post, which was shared less than a hour before his Ireland tribute.

He wrote in the caption: “We forgot Billy Preston! This one, the first one, is about to make me a grandfather. Oy.”

Ireland is expecting her first baby with her boyfriend RAC (born André Allen Anjos). So far, she has kept her 671,000 followers up-to-date with pictures of her growing baby bump and adorable pictures of the baby’s nursery.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child in December. They shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post with a photo of the sonogram.

For now, Baldwin only has to remember to include one grandchild in his first Instagram post as a grandfather!
