An iPhone charging hack has left Apple users delighted and wondering how they didn't know about it sooner.
It seems that each time a new gadget is released, it comes with a host of new features.
Admittedly, at times some are perhaps more useful than others, but one iPhone feature has stunned users who've realized just how handy it might be.
It comes after Apple finally switched from the controversial Lightning port to the industry standard USB-C charger on its smartphones.

Previously, the European Commission had ruled that any new smartphone, camera, or tablet which was being sold in the EU should have a USB-C charging port.
This effectively means that customers will not be confined to buying Apple's Lightning chargers, but can buy any USB-C charger for their phone.

However, there is another feature with each model since the USB-C iPhone 15 up to the iPhone 17 - that is that you can use the charging cable to transfer battery power between devices.
Picture it, you and a friend are out and about and one of your phones is dying.
To make sure you'll have enough charge to keep texting until you can get home safely, you can use this feature to get the charge up.
It's not just phones either as you can also charge other devices, such as your headphones or smartwatch, from your phone's battery.
People took to social media to share their thoughts on the new feature.
"PSA: you can charge an iPhone from another iPhone," one X user wrote.
"Can also charge your laptop same principle - saved me a few times," another replied, while someone else commented: "Wait... what?"

"Whoa. Nifty. That’s in ‘press and hold spacebar to insert the cursor’ territory of cool," one user said.
Another joked: "That's how you show somebody that you really love them."
Android users might point out that the feature is not new - in fact, some Android models allow for phones to 'Power Share' wirelessly without even needing the cable.
Some Samsung devices allow users to charge another device by activating the feature and then placing the other device, which is able to be charged wirelessly, on top.
Of course, you could also just invest in a decent power bank if you're that worried about your devices running down, but the feature would at least save you from having to carry that around with you.
