Apple has reminded fans of two simple things that they can do to maximize their iPhone battery life without resorting to putting on battery saver mode.

Your Apple iPhone always dying on you? Do you need to charge it all the time? Well, chances are you're doing two simple things that could extend your battery's life.

You would think since we all essentially walk around with super computers in our pocket that you would only have to charge the battery once in a blue moon.

Nope, not in this reality, most of us end up having to charge them every night hoping they last the day - or worse - are transported back to the Stone Age when they die.

Well, Apple has explained to users that they could be doing two simple things that save their iPhone's battery massively.

Even better news, it doesn’t require turning on battery saving mode.

On its Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan page, Apple explains regardless of what model product you have these tips could save much you need to charge your device.

“There are two simple ways you can preserve battery life — no matter how you use your device: adjust your screen brightness and use Wi‑Fi,” Apple says.

“Dim the screen or turn on Auto-Brightness to extend battery life. To dim, open Control Centre and drag the Brightness slider to the bottom.

“Auto-Brightness adjusts your screen to lighting conditions automatically. To activate it, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations and set Auto-Brightness to On.”

This simple tip can have such an impact because despite smart phones coming quite a long way in the last 20 years, the high-resolution screens most phones have drains large amounts of power.

If you check your phone and you see the brightness dial is completely turned up, it certainly might be worth dialling it back and seeing if you notice a difference.

On the flipside, thanks to the advancements over the last 20 years, reliable wi-fi connections are everywhere so connecting will likely be easier than it was a decade ago. So you can stay connected, while also saving on your battery.

“When you use your device to access data, a Wi‑Fi connection uses less power than a mobile network — so keep Wi‑Fi on at all times. To turn on Wi‑Fi, go to Settings > Wi‑Fi to access a Wi‑Fi network,” Apple says.
