An ally of Vladimir Putin has claimed humanity would 'applaud' the UK being 'wiped out' amid growing concerns of World War III.
Some three-and-a-half years after Russia invaded Ukraine, there appears to be no end in sight with the ongoing war.
And while Donald Trump may have met with Putin back in August, threats from Moscow regarding nuclear weapons seem stronger than ever.
Tensions have seemingly been rising between Russia and the US in recent weeks after Trump said he had 'sort of made a decision' on sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

The long-range missiles could be used to hit targets deep within Russian territory.
Vladimir Solovyov, a Russian TV host and ally of Putin, has warned that if Trump does supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, an escalation could be on the cards.

"[The West] just need to understand that the transfer of Tomahawk [missiles to Ukraine] is already a new Cuban Crisis," Solovyov said.

"And when they try to say: ‘What difference does it make…..?’ It makes no difference, we'll just get hit and that will be the end of it."
The Russian then took aim at the UK in particular, adding: "If the United Kingdom is wiped out, I think the whole of humanity will applaud. God, it's good how they will say it. That's the truth. It's good, they will say."
Solovyov went on to suggest that the UK is where Russia should target with its Oreshnik missile system, which has nuclear capabilities.
The propagandist added: "That's where we need to strike with Oreshnik. Take all Russian officials [diplomats] out of the United States or Britain. Imagine the panic that would ensue if suddenly the embassy left completely."

As Ukraine, Russia and the rest of the world wait on Trump's decision regarding Tomahawk missiles, Russian deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov issued a statement.
"I hope that those who are pushing Washington toward such decisions fully understand the gravity and depth of the potential consequences," the official said, according to state media.
"We, of course, call on the US leadership and the American military to approach this situation soberly, sensibly and responsibly."

The Kremlin mouthpiece then went on to criticize the Trump administration, saying the US is 'to blame' in a breakdown of relations between the two nations.
"What we have is a building of sorts, a structure of relations that has cracked and is now collapsing. And the Americans are to blame for that," Ryabkov added.
"I think it's always easier to destroy than to build."
