A campaign intended to embarrass Donald Trump on his trip to the UK later this week has gained massive support and seen thousands raised in the process.
President Trump is set to visit Scotland on Friday (July 25) - a country that is very close to his heart, considering his mother is from the nation.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that he is planning to visit Turnberry and Aberdeen before meeting British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to 'refine the great trade deal that was brokered between the US and UK'.
However, it seems some Brits are not pleased about Trump's impending visit, with campaigners raising over $19,000 (at the time of writing) in the hopes of embarrassing the Republican.

With the money, the group plans to plaster photos of the 79-year-old across the UK as they make their feelings known.

Last week, an image of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein appeared on a bus stop near the US embassy in London, after the Trump administration ordered some Epstein files to be released.
Campaign group 'Everyone Hates Elon' has claimed the poster, with a spokesperson telling the Mirror: "In less than 24 hours, we’ve hit our first target of £10,000 to make sure the photo of Trump with Epstein follows him all over the UK, and now we’re going to aim higher.

"The Jeffrey Epstein files are tearing apart Trump’s MAGA movement right now, with even loyal supporters up in arms. So help us to expose Trump’s crimes, while also fuelling the end of his hateful movement."
Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrat party in the UK, is one of the political leaders seemingly against Trump's visit.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "Trump has nerve coming over to the UK when he’s spent the last year playing tariff hokey-cokey with the British economy.

"But in fairness, he can do less damage on a golf course than in the White House. His back of the envelope tariff plan is hitting steelworkers hard across the country - and with nothing yet to show for the deal he signed with the Prime Minister, there’s no end in sight for their worries."
Trump is set to return to the UK in September for an official state visit, when he will spend time in the company of King Charles.
UNILAD has reached out to the White House for comment.
