Police have released new details regarding the disappearance of two siblings who vanished from their home in Nova Scotia, Canada, eight months ago.
Lilly and Jack Sullivan, six and four respectively, were last seen on May 2, while living with their mom, Malehya Brooks-Murray, their stepdad, Daniel Martell, and their younger half-sister.
Since the children went missing, police have carried out extensive searches, including using cadaver dogs and polygraph testing, and holding 75 different interviews. According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, there has also been 1,000 different tips sent in to authorities, as well as 8,000 video files examined.
Now, new details from the interviews have been released, including about the children's family.

According to court documents obtained by CBC, Martell told police that he and Brooks-Murray had a 'good' relationship, but had been arguing over money recently.

“He said they would yell at each other when they were fighting, but there was no physical violence in their relationship,” the documents reportedly claim.
Martell had previously said that he believed the children had left the property through the sliding back door while he and Brooks-Murray were changing the baby.
In addition to this, as per the court docs, authorities asked Brooks-Murray if Martell was ever physically abusive. The CBC claim she said he 'would try to block her, hold her down and once, he pushed her'.
“She said he would also take her phone from her when she tried to call her mom, which would sometimes be physical and hurt," the doc added.
RCMP Staff Sergeant Rob McCamon told the CBC: “I'm not going to comment on … anything being a factor.

"But I will say that any situation like that would be considered and followed up on by our people.”
Documents also discuss the children's biological father, Cody Sullivan, who reportedly hasn't seen Lilly and Jack for a few years.
When asked whether any family members were being investigated, McCamon added: “I wouldn't say anybody's a suspect. Again, we continue to gather information, whatever evidence that we are able to find, and we'll make our decisions based on that.”

In a Nova Scotia government post, authorities have explained that a reward is being offered for information.
It reads: "The Province is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information about the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan.
"On May 2, 2025 the RCMP initiated a missing person investigation for siblings Jack and Lilly Sullivan after family members could not locate the children in their home or on the property in Landsdowne, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
"Family members reported they last observed Lilly inside the home and could hear Jack on the morning of May 2, 2025. The investigation has confirmed that both Jack and Lilly Sullivan were with family members on the afternoon of May 1."
