A chilling photograph of Natalie 'Samantha' Rupnow is being distributed online, having first been posted by her father over the summer.

Yesterday (December 16), a 15-year-old girl opened fire at a school in Wisconsin, claiming the lives of a teacher and another student.

The harrowing events unfolded at Abundant Life Christian School, with the suspected shooter - believed to be Rupnow - going on to die from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Six others were wounded, two of whom ended up in critical condition.

Not much information about Rupnow has been released by police since they named her as a key suspect, but a glimpse into the late teen's life can be seen online.

Over the summer, her father Jeff Rupnow shared a snap of the teenager on Facebook at a shooting range - an apparent pass time she liked to do with her dad.

Someone asked if the photo was of 'kiddo', presumably meaning Rupnow.

Her father replied the comment: "Sure is!!!! We joined NBSC this spring and we have been loving all every second of it!"

NBSC stands for North Bristol Sportsman's Club - a gun club in Sun Prairie.

The photo has since garnered a lot of attention in the wake of yesterday's events that Rupnow is believed to have been responsible for.

The teenager was also sporting a KMFDM t-shirt in the photo - a piece of attire Rupnow was seen wearing in other photos too.

KMFDM is a German rock band, who Columbine school shooter Eric Harris was also a fan of.

People have been speaking out since yesterday's harrowing events, one person being Bethany Highman, the mother of a student, who rushed to the school and learned over FaceTime that her daughter was OK.

"As soon as it happened, your world stops for a minute. Nothing else matters," she said, as per PA.

"There’s nobody around you. You just bolt for the door and try to do everything you can as a parent to be with your kids."

President Joe Biden has also addressed the incident and has called on Congress to pass universal background checks, a national red flag law and certain gun restrictions.

“We can never accept senseless violence that traumatises children, their families, and tears entire communities apart,” he said.

He spoke with Wisconsin governor Tony Evers and Madison mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and offered his support.

Evers said it is 'unthinkable' that a child or teacher would go to school and never return home.
