There's lots of parts of an airport that we don't normally see, usually kept for security personnel or airline staff.

Yet those backrooms and corridors are curious, and we can see why a man on TikTok couldn't help himself but explore some while waiting at Denver International Airport.

The man, who posts under the TikTok handle @hollow_hollis, shows himself wandering the corridors of the airport at 12:30 in the morning.

Hollis, who was actually trying to find his departure gate when he stumbled into the backrooms, found himself walking past room after room in a video which has now had over 16 million views.

In the TikTok, Hollis can be seen which his backpack and headphones around his neck as he speaks to the camera, telling viewers: "Not me accidentally finding the Denver Airport backrooms."

The video continues as he shows off sterile looking rooms and endless corridors. Hollis continues: "This s**t just keeps going on and on. The ceilings are all so low. This says there is a gate right there but there's nothing right here. This airport is just so f*****g weird."

Viewers have been left seriously creeped out by the video.

One person commented: "The Denver Airport is so scary."

Another claimed: "Denver Airport is a portal to somewhere evil."

While a third wrote: "Denver Airport is haunted fr."

According to workers at the airport, the backrooms are supposed to be home to luggage, yet some people have speculated this could be a disguise for something else entirely.

This isn't the first time Denver Airport has been the subject of conspiracy theories, with the internet regularly highlighting that the airport is a hub of bizarre theories including secret world governments, reptile humans, ghosts and aliens.

None of which have been proven to be true, we must add.

The famous blue horse statue outside the airport, called 'Mustang', is also known as 'Blucifer'. Theories around the statue have evolved over the past two decades, after the statue's creator died finishing the statue in 2006 after a piece came loose and struck him.

Other theories include speculation the rooms below the airport are actually food storage spaces prepared for an imminent apocalypse and that the airport's gargoyle statues are actually satanic and 'cursed'.

Again, none of this has any plausible evidence to suggest it is true.

A spokesperson for Denver International Airport told UNILAD: "The area featured in the TikTok video is part of an extension of Concourse A-West and is neither hidden nor restricted. In fact, this area has dining and retail spaces including a brewery and a travel convenience store.

"After reviewing the footage, we noticed it was taken around 12:30 in the morning, which is a time when there likely were no flights departing or arriving."
