A woman who works as an influencer has revealed how she spends her whopping monthly salary.

Kelsie Flaim is known online by her TikTok name @thehungryfoodie, where she makes regular posts on all things food.

Her account focusses in particular on fast food, processed food, and chain restaurants.

It's clearly a very lucrative gig, as the influencer claims to have been paid $21,343 before tax in April alone.

Taken across a whole year that comes to $256,116 a year before tax, so a pretty hefty sum.

The influencer explained in a reply to a comment that this mostly comes from sponsored posts to her social media channel.

Once we take out what is owed to Uncle Sam each month, the total each month comes to $13,516.

Nice work if you can get it!

It's hard to most people to even imagine how you could possibly spend that much money each month.

So how on earth does she spend her money each month?

Well the short answer is that she doesn't, at least not all of it anyway.

Monthly expenses

In fact, the influencer revealed that after all of her monthly expenses - including accommodation, car expenses such as payments, insurance, and gas, as well as subscriptions, eating out, beauty and self care, and other miscellaneous expenses - she still spends less than half of her monthly income.

How does it all add up?

Let's start with the big expenses - so her Los Angeles homes accommodation is obviously going to be a big one.

And astonishingly, despite her enormous income she still rents, with rent coming in at $2,750 a month.

Then there's just $38 on utilities, and $60 in Wi-Fi.

Next we have car-related expenses including payments, insurance, and gas, which altogether came to around $640.

Then we have food, which is divided between groceries at just over $282, and eating out at just under $305, as well as DoorDash at $26.02.

Kelsie also dropped just over $100 on Ubers, though as she doesn't drink alcohol, she didn't spend on that.

There's then a big spend on beauty, with $690 on hair appointments and $38 on eyebrows. As for a bit of real luxury, the influencer listed a whopping $480 spent on massages.

Finally, there are subscriptions at $52.83 and then 'miscellaneous', which came in at $565.

The total cost

Altogether, the influencer spent $6,027.58 living what looks like an extremely enviable life.

And if you recall how much she is being paid a month after tax, that left her with just over $7,000 a month to put away into savings and investments.

People were left baffled by the video, with one writing: "20k would change my life what are people doing to make that much money."

Another wrote: "Savings? Investments? Retirement? Include those as well please."

And a third commented: "Why’d I think it was 21k for the year."
