Gypsy Rose Blanchard announces separation from husband three months after being released from prison

Gypsy Rose has confirmed that she has separated from her husband just three months on from her prison release

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has confirmed that she has separated from her husband just three months after leaving prison.

The 32-year-old served eight years in jail for her role in the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard with her boyfriend at the time Nicholas "Nick" Godejohn.

Dee Dee had spent years convincing the world that her daughter was terminally ill, including making her use a wheelchair and even shaving her head.

Gypsy Rose and Godejohn conspired to kill Dee Dee together, and Gypsy Rose served eight of her ten year jail sentence.

She met husband Ryan Anderson while in jail, and the pair married in a ceremony in prison.

When she was released from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri, she had planned to move in with her husband.

But just three months after her release the pair have decided to call it quits, and are now going though a separation.

In a post on her private social media page as seen by PEOPLE magazine, she said: "People have been asking what is going on in my life.

"Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou.

"I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am."

Prior to her release, the pair had been planning to renew their vows to reaffirm their relationship.

Speaking at the time, she said: "We do plan on having a reception/redo wedding with all of our family and our friends and the dress and the cake and everything because we deserve that. I deserve that. He deserves that.

She added: "Our prison wedding was just something to where we can make our vows to each other. It was something that meant something to us.

"And I think the party is kind of for everybody else and us, but mostly for everybody else."

Gypsy Rose had expressed excitement about moving in with her husband after leaving prison to start their life together.

She said: “I’ve never lived with a man. I grew up with a mom, so I didn’t even grow up with a dad in the house. So, I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what it’s like to live with a man.’"

Earlier this month Gypsy Rose posted a video to her TikTok page, before deleting her social media accounts.

A source told PEOPLE she had deleted the accounts 'at the advisement of her parole officer'.
