If you see someone dangerously driving on the roads, the typical thing to do is to call the cops.

But it’s not exactly typical that the one doing the dangerous driving is the one who also dials 911.

And this guy had a real nightmare after calling the cops on himself in Lancaster County, Nebraska.

Driving along a State Highway 77, he called to report someone else being 'on the wrong side of the road'.

He was asked for a description of the car but said: “He had his brights on man, he almost ran me off the road.”

The driver told dispatchers: “I am going northbound on 77, he is going southbound.

“I am on the east lane, he was on the west lane.”

After giving the details he even added: “Dude, he almost hit me so I was like ‘holy s**t’.”

But the officers soon realized it was the driver himself going the wrong way and his location was tracked.

The driver was pulled over and the arresting officer asked: “Do you know why I stopped you?”

And he, pretty embarrassingly, admitted: “Yeah, ‘cos I was on the wrong side of the road.

“I must have missed an exit.”

After a breathalyzer reading was taken, officers found the man’s blood-alcohol content was over twice the legal limit to drive.

They also asked him: “Were you the one that called in?”

To which he had to confess: “Yeah, because I thought somebody was on the wrong side of the f**king road.”

"Dumb f**k".

The officer really dug the hole for him, adding to the shame as they jabbed: “And it turned out it was you.”

Rightly, and undoubtedly with some embarrassment, the driver said: “Yep, like a dumb f**k.”

Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office shared the video to Facebook with the warning to ‘drive sober or get pulled over’.

They added that a ‘deputy was able to arrest this driver before anyone was seriously hurt’.

Users took to the comments to share their thoughts after watching the whole ordeal, with one saying: "Good thing he turned himself in."

While another commented: "That was really dumb of him."
