Millionaire tech founder Bryan Johnson has spoken out about next milestone he's reached, revealing how he reduced microplastics in his body.

In case you haven't heard of Johnson, he known as the ‘biohacker’ for the simple fact that he wants to ultimately reverse his biological age.

Getting some good fruit and veg and plenty of sleep isn’t enough for the 48-year-old Johnson however, as he has gone to extreme lengths in his goal.

In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, he got really open about a recent experiment on reducing microplastics and how successful it has been for him so far.

Microplastics are tiny little particles which are smaller than a grain of sand and have been known to seep into near enough everything, and eventually end up in the human body.

From here, they can accumulate in the vital organs and cause inflammation, infertility, and other health issues.

But Johnson claims that he was able to massively reduce the amount within his body in just a year.

In a post, he wrote: “I eliminated 85% of microplastics from my ejaculate.”

He noted that in November 2024, the amount was 165 particles per millilitre and as of July 2025 it is 20 particles per ml.

In addition to this, he said that he has seen a significant drop of microplastics in his blood as well. From October 2024 of 70 particles per ml dropping to 10 particles per ml as of May 2025.

Now while this might appear quite random, research into microplastics is ongoing and has revealed that they are already having a startling impact, spreading vastly over the planet.

Johnson added: “Important as a meta-analysis of 36 studies reveals that microplastics induce oxidative stress in the male reproductive system, leading to testicular inflammation, cell death, and reduced testosterone levels, sperm production, and motility.

“Two studies last year showed that microplastics were detected in every human testicular and semen samples tested."

So, how did he do it?

Well unlike, many of his other methods on addressing his health, Johnson’s method was quite simple.

He claimed that using a sauna every day for 20 minutes helped him simply sweat the microplastics out of his body.

As well as this, he stopped using plastic microwavable containers and plastic cutting boards.

Johnson claimed that he used a reverse osmosis water system, a $600 device that uses a high-pressure pump to force water through a barrier with extremely small pores. This ultimately allows for water to pass through but traps harmful contaminants.
