The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in San Antonio is asking for help to locate missing teenager Angelique Johnson, whose disappearance was reported by police on Christmas Day - just one day after Camila Mendoza Olmos vanished.

In a post shared on Facebook on December 25, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said Johnson, 17, was last seen in the 130 block of Exeter Place, near Potranco Road on the northwest side of San Antonio, Texas.

Johnson is believed to still have her cell phone, police said, but her whereabouts is unknown.

The teen is described as being 5’10” tall, weighing 198 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Sheriff's Office adds: "If you have information regarding Angelique Johnson’s whereabouts, call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000 or email the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at [email protected]."

News of Johnson's disappearance is one of three reports of teen disappearances in the days surrounding Christmas, with 14-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos reported missing on December 29 after leaving her home and failing to return.

Thankfully, police issued an update on December 30 to say Peters-Cobos has since been found 'alive and well'.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the disappearance of Camila Olmos is ongoing after she went missing on the morning of Christmas Eve. On December 30, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office announced that a body had been found during the search for Olmos, however they stressed it was too early to determine whether the remains belong to her.

The body was found in an area of tall grass, just a few hundred yards from Olmos’ home. A firearm was also recovered nearby.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar has said investigators do not currently suspect murder.

Speaking in a news conference, Salazar said: "We're processing the scene, and we hope to have more information to release as soon as we're as soon as we're able, the area in question is probably about, I'd say, as the crow flies, about a quarter of a mile from here and probably a few 100 yards from her actual residence."

The sheriff added that the body found is 'consistent' with having been in the area for approximately five or six days.

The medical examiner will now work to identify the body and determine the cause of death.

While the three teens all went missing within a matter of days, law enforcement has said there is no confirmed connection between the cases.
