A heartbreaking update has been issued in the search for mom Amanda Rodgers, who was reported missing after not arriving to pick up her kids.
Authorities have issued a statement after a week-long search for the mom, 35, who was reported missing by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on January 31 after she disappeared from Eldon, Missouri on January 26.
Concerns began after Amanda did not arrive to pick up her children from the Camdenton area, after which Missouri authorities issued an endangered person advisory on the day she was reported missing.
In the advisory, officials noted that she had been driving a 2003 tan Chevrolet Malibu in the area.

A partnership between law enforcement and local broadcasters took place to disseminate information about a missing person, but authorities have since issued a devastating update.

The Miller County Missouri Coroner’s Office announced on February 2 that they had responded to a motor vehicle collision in the early hours of the morning on Highway 54 near Howser Road.
The report led to the discovery of the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu.
In a heartbreaking update, the coroner reported that Amanda's body had been found in a vehicle which had been obstructed by a tree.
The coroner’s office stated: "Ms. Rodgers' vehicle was located off the roadway and concealed by a fallen tree, making it difficult to observe from the roadway.
"The vehicle was discovered by a Miller County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was actively searching the area."
Having located Amanda's body, officials are now investigating the circumstances surrounding her death alongside the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

In their report, the coroner noted that foul play nor suspicious circumstances are not suspected in the case, and that Amanda's death is likely as a result of an accidental motor vehicle crash.
The coroner pronounced the Amanda dead at 1:43 a.m. on February 2, and her immediate family were notified of her passing.
The rest of the family have also been notified of the full investigation that is currently taking place, and are yet to release a statement following the devastating news.
"Out of respect for the family, no further details will be released at this time," the coroner's statement added.
The coroner's statement concluded: "The Miller County Coroner’s Office extends its deepest condolences to Ms. Rodgers’ family and loved ones during this difficult time."
