New York-based company Astronomer has revealed the fate of CEO, Andy Byron, after footage from a Coldplay jumbotron appeared to show him with his arms around his employee and the internet is speaking out.
Last week, the internet was abuzz after a man, who was later identified as Andy Byron, had been watching Chris Martin’s Coldplay at their gig at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 16.
It seemed innocent enough when he suddenly appeared on a huge screen in the arena, but the footage which has since gone viral, appeared to show the married man with his arms around Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer of Astronomer, who was leaning back into him and holding his hands.
"Oh look at these two," Martin said in the clip.

However, looking caught out on camera, Cabot covered her face while Byron ducked down below the frame of the camera.
Martin then added: "Oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just really shy."
Since the release of the clip, the company released an update on Byron after announcing on July 18 that a formal investigation had begun.

Astronomer initially released a statement in which it claimed it was 'committed to the values and culture that have guided [it] since [its] founding'.
"Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability," it continued. "The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly."
But shortly afterwards on July 19, Astronomer issued a statement announcing that Byron has resigned from his role as CEO of the company and that they are looking for a replacement.
In the post on X, formerly Twitter, it said: "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.

"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.

"Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI.
"While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not.
"We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems."
Since then, people online have had strong thoughts about the actions of the company, with many believing that Byron isn’t the only person that should be resigning.

One person wrote on X: “It’s not just the ceo that needs to step down. You need to take action on your head of HR. ‘People leader’ my a**.”
Another stated: “I agree @astronomerio why you keep the hr lady she is as guilty as the CEO! The joke is not going to end.”
Someone else said: “Head of HR should resign too! How would anyone feel comfortable bringing any HR issues to someone like that!?”
There isn’t currently an update on Cabot by the company and what will happen to her and her role.
