Companies are often doing their best to stand out but this cookie company has raised some eyebrows with their controversial video.
We've all experienced that one really good advert that stays with us and pushes us into buying something we don't need, but sometimes the message they are trying to get across isn’t always clear.
Every now and again, a company's out of the box thinking in the hopes that they can grab your attention, make you laugh or even confuse you just so you remember the product, doesn't always work out as planned.
One cookie company might be rethinking their strategy right now, as an advertisement for their business garnered mixed results, if social media comments are anything to go by.

The ad, shared on the TikTok page for the business Crumb & Co. by Lana, tries out a little bait and switch strategy to get the viewers’ attention.

The business appears to be operating out of Egypt and selling cookies through their social media pages, but has managed to go viral with the video, securing over 13 million views.
The video starts off similar to many of the simulation videos telling stories about odd happenings involving people surviving near fatal situations.

This one focuses on an overweight woman being shot by a bullet, only for her fat to prevent the bullet penetrating to her vital organs.
The narrator then continued: “To save your life, order my cookies, so your stomach can get bigger and bigger, preventing death caused by the bullet.”
As you would imagine, this garnered a whole lot of attention with some dismissing it as a little bit out of left field.
One TikTok user wrote: “Can we have an urgent meeting with the marketing team because what the heck.”
Another added: “Never have I ever seen advertisements like this before.”

A third wrote: “Bro is preparing people for stray bullets. You can't make this up.”
While another commented: “I have a lot to say but don't know how to say it...”
However, others were delighted by the ad and praised the cheeky attempt at getting a laugh to help sell the product.
A fan wrote: “Best Advert I’ve seen on the internet soo far.”

Another added: “Okay this is the most funniest advertisement I’ve seen.”
And another impressed user wrote: “If this is not a successful marketing , I don’t know what is.”
While it might be a little bit strange, it seems to have worked on some social media users, and may have resulted in more orders - sounds like a good advert to me.
