Everyone's pointing out the same thing as grown man caught doing unthinkable act to child at US Open is identified

The man has gone viral for taking a tennis player's hat off a young boy at the US Open

Everybody's saying the same thing about a man who has been dubbed the 'US Open hat snatcher'.

Tennis fans were left outraged after the man in question was seen swiping Kamil Majchrzak's hat off a boy who was seemingly gifted it by the sports pro.

The moment was caught on live coverage of the event and quickly sparked outrage online.

"A grown man collecting autographs is one of the oddest things I’ll never understand. You also have to be a big bag of s**t to do that to a child," one person raged on social media about the now-viral clip.

"Shame on this guy," said somebody else.

Majchrzak was quick to react to the backlash and appealed for people's help in the hopes of identifying the young sports fan who had been wronged.

And the internet has since worked its magic, and Majchrzak was able to track down the boy, named Brock, to give him another cap.

The tennis pro shared photos of them together on his Instagram page. The infamous 'hat snatcher' has also been identified.

Speaking to The New York Post, Majchrzak said the guy is Polish millionaire Piotr Szczerek, the CEO of paving company Drogbruk.

Appearing to defend the wealthy man's actions, Mahchrzak said there had been 'some kind of confusion' when the incident occurred.

Szczerek has allegedly tried to make amends with the boy and his family after his viral moment.

"He also wanted to make things right, so I gave him the credentials for Brock’s mom on the same social media I was using to contact her,” Majchrzak said, adding: "So, maybe he can make things right himself."

In the wake of Szczerek's identity being revealed, many people online have been left saying the same thing.

Someone wrote that 'integrity and kindness may not make you a millionaire but it lets you sleep at night.'

"It's a stark reminder that integrity and kindness are far more valuable than wealth," noted another, adding: "Character truly shines through in our actions, not our bank accounts."

"Some lessons money just can’t buy," echoed a third.

Calling out the millionaire's 'bad form', a different person penned: "A millionaire CEO, but still can’t keep hands off a kid’s gift. Proof that money doesn’t equal manners. Grabbing a kid’s gift? That’s just bad form, no matter how rich you are."

"Money can bring glow on your face but not compassion," suggested somebody else.

UNILAD has previously approached Szczerek's company for comment.
