We've all been there - that moment when your gate is announced for your flight and it's the furthest one away.

Especially when you've been awake since the early hours to save a few bucks on your ticket, it can seem like the biggest chore to trek across the airport.

If you've ever envied kids and their ride-on suitcases, your moment has arrived.

Unlike the famous child version, you don't need to sit and scoot along with your feet, this is a lot cooler.

The Electric Rideable Suitcase is essentially a cabin case/scooter hybrid.

You can whizz around at 8mph, and can travel between 5 and 6 miles on a single charge, ideal for even the biggest of airports.

It might sound too good to be true, but it looks like it will make travel a breeze.

Not only can you save on the steps, but of course you can pack your luggage in it too.

Electric Rideable Suitcase features

  • Compact suitcase - It measures 20-inches and provides spacious storage, a strong build and a powerful battery.
  • Aluminum Alloy Build - This case is made from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy for enhanced strength and lightness.
  • Weight Limit - It can carry an upper weight limit of 243 lb.
  • Robust Power Supply - As well as powering the ride-on case, the battery can also charge your devices with a USB port. Say goodbye to your phone running out of battery when your flight is delayed.
  • Adjustable handle - With one touch, the case handle can be adjusted to all heights.
  • Secure - Rest assured the contents of your case are safe as it comes with a TSA combination lock.

Airport policies

Be sure to check if there are any particular policies or requirements at the airport you'll be travelling from and to.

While the non-motorized ride-on cases for kids and usually allowed everywhere, some airports have banned riding on the cases.

Two airports in Japan have asked visitors not to ride on them.

Chubu Centrair International Airport in Aichi Prefecture and Kansai International Airport in Osaka want to 'prevent accidents'.

Concerns are that people might crash into pedestrians.

The rules can vary from place to place, with some airports allowing them as cases with the battery removed.

In the UK it's at the discretion of the airport.

According to Aotos, smart cases are allowed 'only if it meets very specific TSA regulations and airline requirements. The key is the lithium battery inside. Airlines allow smart bags only if the battery is removable and within size limits.'
