Simone Biles has made history once again.

The highly-decorated athlete has added yet more gold medals to her Olympic Games accolades and won top prize at this evening's Women's Artistic Individual All-Around final (August 1).

Her win makes her the oldest all-around Olympic champion since 1952, USA Today Sports reports.

Brazil's Rebeca Andrade came in close second to Biles and took home silver, while Biles' USA teammate Suni Lee took bronze.

People have since rushed to social media to gush about Biles' recent success, with one person going as far as hailing the 27-year-old as the 'greatest Olympic athlete of all time'.

Another Olympics viewer raved: "The GOAT of Gymnastics, one and only Simone Biles, well done, well deserved, it was a treat to watch!!!!"

Meanwhile, someone else went as far as saying that Biles has redefined the word 'goat' all together.

They suggested: "Children will spend their formative years hearing about the GOAT, Simone Biles, and only later on be shocked to learn there's actually an animal with a similar name and all will be right in the world."

Host country France is in close second with 27 medals, while People's Republic of China is in third with 23.
