Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will not be allowed to fight temporarily after facing off in Miami this week.
YouTuber Paul and two-time heavyweight champion Joshua went head-to-head in Miami, with many commentators questioning ahead of the fight whether the social media star would be able to take on such a high-level opponent.
Joshua knocked out the influencer in the sixth round after Paul was downed numerous times before the fight was brought to a halt.
Paul has previously racked up a victory against Mike Tyson, who at the time of the fight was 58 and was far past his prime. Paul, meanwhile, has also been soundly beaten by Tommy Fury in 2023.

Despite this, Paul has gone to great lengths to play up his influence in the sport, even declaring that he has had a greater influence on boxing in the last decade than anyone else.
"No one has done more for the sport of boxing in the last decade than myself," Paul said. "So if people cared about boxing they would want me to win."

Paul added: "But I see the angle they're coming from in the sense he's been doing it all his life.
"But I think that l'm more important for boxing so if they cared about the sport they would want me to win."
While Joshua may have won the bout, both participants now face a period where they will not be allowed to fight after taking to the ring against each other.
This is not to do with any infractions or behavior in the ring - it's actually mandatory under Florida law, where the fight will take place.
Under these rules, all fighters have to take a seven-day rest period after a big fight.
The rule states: “Participants shall receive a mandatory seven-day rest period after competing in a match. Day 1 of the mandatory rest period shall commence on the first day following the event.”

Immediately after the fight, Paul was left spitting blood as he revealed that Joshua had broken his jaw.
"Anthony's a great fighter, I got my ass beat, but that's what this sport's about," said Paul. "I think my jaw is broken by the way.
"Yeah, it’s definitely broke. But man, that was good. A nice little a** whipping from one of the best to ever do it.
"I love this so I’m going to come back and get a world championship belt at some point."
The YouTuber later confirmed that his jaw was broken in two places, writing on X: "Double broken jaw. Give me Canelo in 10 days."
