Bill Belichick has seemingly grown frustrated about the ‘false narrative’ around his relationship following a viral interview.
NFL legend Bill Belichick hasn’t been headlines for his coaching on the football field as of late, but more of his personal life.
The 73-year-old shocked many when he revealed he was in a relationship with Jordon Hudson, who is 49 years his junior at just 24 years of age.

Over the weekend, Belichick sat down with CBS News journalist Tony Dokoupil who brought up the fascination about the pair’s relationship.
The former NFL coach said: "I’ve never been too worried about what everybody else thinks. Just try to do what I feel like is best for me and what’s right."

Dokoupil eventually asked how the pair met before Hudson, who was listening in to the interview, interrupted to assert that they wouldn’t be talking about that.

When the question was asked, she firmly interjected and said: "We’re not talking about this."
Dokoupil later explained on the program how the couple didn't feel 'comfortable' speaking about their relationship, and that Hudson was a 'constant presence' during the interview.
Belichick has since argued that the fallout of the interview created a ‘false narrative’ about his relationship.
Issuing a statement on April 30, the college football coach addressed the ongoing discussion around his relationship.

He said: "Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist at Simon & Schuster that any promotional interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book.
"Unfortunately, that expectation was not honored during the interview. I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book."
Belichick argued that his partner reiterated his desire to stay on topic and interrupted the question posed by Dokoupil.

The statement continued: "After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion."

However, CBS News has argued that ahead of conducting the interview, no limitations were put in place about discussion topics.
In their own statement, a CBS News spokesperson said: "When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview. There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation.

"This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed."
