Snoop Dogg has seemingly stolen the show at this year's Olympics with his antics but the rapper will reportedly take home a pretty penny as well.

At this point how did we ever host the Olympics without Snoop Dogg? The legendary rapper has brought an infectious level of enthusiasm and hype to every event he has attended.

We have already got a few good memes featuring the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' star just from his reactions alone.

From turning up to the in full equestrian gear at the Dressage team grand prix special to hyping up the athletes from the sidelines, viewers have been loving the 52-year-old's contribution so far.

The man even got to carry the Olympic torch - I mean it would slightly make sense if the Olympics were held in the Netherlands, but we are getting off track here.

Snoop, real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, has been working for NBC as a special correspondent for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

But the rapper reportedly isn’t just providing his good vibes for free, oh no.

Many fans have been left wondering how much Snoop has been making for his appearances and commentary.

Well, if one claim is to be believed, it is an eye-watering amount.

Henry L McNamara, a New York-based venture capitalist, took to social media to reveal what he allegedly overheard about Snoop's pay check.

“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner,” McNamara wrote Twitter on August 4. “He said Snoop gets paid $500,000 a day plus expenses to be here promoting [the] Olympics.

“From ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics - what a world.”

Now, if this is an accurate estimate then Snoop will allegedly cash in a whopping total of $8 million for the entire 16-day span of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Not bad for a few weeks of work, is it?

And it seems social media users were all for it, insisting that the rapper was a delight to watch and worth every penny.

“Worth it! Snoop Dogg is rocking the @Olympics!” one user wrote on Twitter.

Another added: "He is worth 2X that amount. Snoop is America."

A third raved: “Money well spent because he is awesome! Hopefully next year they pay @FlavorFlavbecause he has made these Olympics for me.”

While a fourth commented: “Totally worth it - he’s working hard & bringing so much attention to the broadcast/socials."

UNILAD has contacted NBC and Snoop Dogg’s representatives for comment.
