People are divided over whether this controversial act counts as cheating as woman warns others

An OnlyFans model has weighed into a debate over whether one specific act could be classed as cheating, and people can't agree

While we all know what 'cheating' is, there are some gray areas that fall under the bracket, and one of these has people divided - with 50 percent of people saying it was 'definitely' cheating in a survey.

I remember discussing the topic with one of my friends' parents some years ago, and even then we couldn't agree on a seemingly obvious sign of unfaithfulness - kissing someone, other than your partner, on the lips.

To me it's glaringly obvious that is cheating, but for them - who have been married for more than 40 years - they were adamant that smooching someone isn't cheating, and questioned whether I even knew what the term meant.

Then there's the liking of other girls' or boys' Instagram posts. I know some people who would perceive it as being unfaithful, and although I find it rather easy to exercise restraint over the matter and do think it's of poor taste, cheating is a step to far.

But where do you sit on subscribing to someone's OnlyFans?

For me, I wouldn't class it as cheating, but I'd definitely call it weird behaviour.

Well, a survey of 54,000 Australians, carried out by news.com.au’s Great Aussie Debate, revealed that 50 percent of participants deemed a subscription to X-rated content on the platform as 'definitely' cheating.

While 42 percent believe it 'depends on the type of interactions' their partner is having with the creator, with just eight percent of respondents believe it is a 'normal' part of a relationship.

Surprisingly, one person who considers a subscription to an account on the platform is cheating is OnlyFans model Maddi Miller - who claims to earn around $19,000 every month from her posts.

“Trust is so important, which is why I had to end it with an ex after I caught him looking at naked photos of other women while in bed with me,” Miller told news.com.au.

“If my ex had maybe asked to watch some content together, or he had expressed that he was curious, then we could have had a conversation about it.

“But the fact that he was deliberately looking at porn created by people I knew was not OK.”

However, sex worker Lucy Banks, who also owns a talent agency in the industry, called Million Billion Media, is one of the 42 percent of Aussies that believes it depends on the interactions her partner would be having with the creator.

Banks told the outlet: "I’ve been in the OnlyFans sphere since before Covid and have seen it evolve from a side hustle that everyone seemed unsure about, to a full blown machine that has transformed the entire adult industry.

“Along with that, society and relationships have also evolved, meaning the level of transparency, emotional intelligence, and communication required to maintain a healthy relationship is now much higher.

“Is it cheating if your partner subscribes to someone on OnlyFans? It really depends on the relationship.”
