Woman ‘discovers’ husband is cheating after noticing shocking detail on popular home product

A 'shaken' wife has turned to Reddit for advice after an unusual detail on one of her devices at home led her to believe her husband might be having an affair.

The woman, who has kept her post anonymous, took to the 'Am I Overreacting' page on Reddit to share her story after she and her husband decided to separate.

The wife explained that she and her partner had decided to take some time apart after he had previously been caught cheating, but they'd agreed to 'work on [them]selves' and had said nothing about seeing other people.

It was during this period of separation that the wife spotted an unusual reading on her electronic scale at home which set off alarm bells in her brain.

In her post, the Reddit user shared a screenshot of readings from the scale, including two readings for 120lbs which were logged at 12:25am and 12:16am one morning.

She explained: "We have another home that my husband has been staying in recently bc we’re in the process of separating due to infidelity. I checked the digital scale’s memory out of curiosity and it showed two “unassigned” weigh-ins at exactly 120 lbs, logged at 12:25 a.m. and 12:26 a.m. back-to-back. For context, I do not weigh 120 lbs, and I was not there on that date, just my husband."

Admitting that the finding has been 'messing with [her] head', the woman expressed belief that the reading was 'more than just a glitch'.

She continued: "I didn’t say anything to him [because] in the past [he's] never taken accountability to the infidelities I’ve found. I also want to protect my peace and not jump to conclusions. But deep down, I can’t shake the feeling that someone was there.

"The scale doesn’t randomly store numbers [...] It only logs a reading when someone physically steps on it."

The wife asked users whether they believed the reading was a 'clear sign that someone else was in [her] home', and readers were quick to share their thoughts.

Reddit users admitted that, unfortunately, the reading suggested the husband was being unfaithful.

They encouraged the poster to use the finding as 'closure to finalize the separation', adding: "Now you can have peace knowing that this is the right decision."

Another added: "This man has already cheated on you!! Listen to me, as a man, let me tell you: no man who loves or respects you would EVER cheat on you. Ever. As hard as it is to hear, this scumbag doesn’t love you or respect you.

"Never let a man rob you of your self worth. And the fact that you’re not even convinced on divorce right now means that’s exactly what he’s done. Move forward with the divorce. Find someone who actually loves and respects you."

Responding to the comments, the poster said: "Yes, I keep getting confirmations of what I need to do. I simply wanted to rule everything out."
