Dennis Quaid has explained why his marriage to wife Laura Savoie is 'paradise', despite the fact she is nearly four decades younger than him.
There are several celebrity couples with a significant age gap, including Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, who have a 22-year age difference, and Holland Taylor, who is over 30 years older than her partner, Sarah Paulson.
Just because a couple have many years between them, that doesn't mean it isn't going to work in a relationship setting - and it seems Quaid, 71, and Savoie, 32, are the perfect example.
The couple met in 2019 and were husband and wife just a year later in 2020 after they secretly tied the knot in a private ceremony.

Having been married for five years now, the pair are also working together professionally, as Quaid appointed his wife as founding partner of his production company, Bonniedale Films, back in 2021.
Everything appears rosy with their marriage - something which the Sovereign star has underlined in a recent interview.
He told Fox News Digital: "My life is paradise. Every day is paradise with her. It really is. It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody. Every day is paradise. What can I tell you?
"I don't know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I'm] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers."
Despite the sizeable age gap, Quaid told Fox News Digital last year that he doesn't notice any differences in this relationship as opposed to others.
He admitted: "I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife. Other people have. But… I really don't think about it.
"She's got so much going on that, you know, I just don't notice it. She's just, she's the light of my life.
"I wasn’t looking for it, and she came along, and it's God put us together."
Savoie is actually Quaid's fourth wife after the actor was previously married to P.J. Soles (1978 to 1983), Meg Ryan (1991 to 2001), and Kimberly Buffington (2004 to 2018).
And having divorced the latter in 2018, Quaid met Savoie a year later and the rest - as they say - is history.
Speaking about the age gap with Savoie, Quaid told the Guardian in 2019: "It really doesn't bother us. Everyone comes from the perspective of their own life and so I can’t comment on the way they feel; I can’t even get angry."
Having originally planned a wedding in Hawaii, the couple later settled on Santa Barbara, California, due to the restrictions in place because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
