Kristen Stewart reveals 'what makes someone attractive' as she gives rare insight into marriage to wife Dylan Meyer

Twilight's Kristen Stewart, who married her long-term girlfriend Dylan Meyer in April, has revealed the trait she finds most attractive in a partner.

Most of us first saw Stewart falling in love when she had the painstaking choice between coupling up with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), her mysterious, pale-faced classmate with a taste for blood, and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), a werewolf who seemingly offered a life closer to her own human world.

But it's been nearly two decades since Stewart first garnered the attention of a generation of teenagers, who were left lustfully divided over which supernatural boyfriend she should pick.

The actress, 35, now lives far from the outlaws of humankind with her wife, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, with whom she tied the knot in April this year.

Now, eight months into their marriage, the actress, who has also had starring roles in Spencer and Adventureland, has shared the one thing she finds attractive above all else: hunger.

During an interview with Esquire, Stewart shared a rare glimpse into her romance with Meyer. Asked what it is she finds most attractive in a partner, she said: "Hunger. And I mean that in every way. When someone wants a lot. Openly. It also means being nice, because you just get more with real honey."

She's also learned that 'power in numbers' is the most valuable trait in a relationship.

'It’s so nice to not be an unmoored individual," Stewart explained. "Dylan came into my life and I immediately was like, 'It’s so important to handpick and curate the people that surround you.' Dylan just does not suffer fools. I may not always seem like it, but I really am kind of a 'nice guy'."

Continuing, she said: "It’s just bolstering to be with someone that reminds you that your life is in your hands."

Elsewhere in the interview, Stewart revealed that her favourite pastime is sharing her passion for books with her loved ones.

"A big thing that makes me happy is reading out loud with my wife and pets. East of Eden, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. To share them outside of yourself is salve," she told the publication.

And what does she not like? Well, it's nothing particularly extraordinary.

"Mean people suck," she said. "I can smell it. So gross."

Since making her onscreen debut in Twilight in 2008, Stewart has had a number of high-profile relationships, notably some with co-stars including Pattinson, visual effects producer Alicia Cargile, and musician St. Vincent.

The actress, who identifies as bisexual, has been dating Meyer since 2019. The pair officially tied the knot during a private ceremony at her Los Angeles home on April 20, 2025.
