George Clooney has opened up about life with his wife Amal, and apparently the couple’s key to happiness is simple - don’t sweat the small stuff... or argue at all!
OK, it's definitely straightforward but not squabbling with your partner - even just one single time - has to be impossible, surely?
In an interview with CBS News, the Oscar-winning actor spoke about how aging has changed his outlook on life - and how it’s helped him and his international human rights lawyer wife maintain a drama-free relationship.
“Well, when you’re younger, you want to be right about everything, you know. ‘Don’t paint that color wall!'” Clooney told correspondent Seth Doane. "And you know, Amal and I - everybody gets ticked off when I say it - but we don’t. We’ve never had a fight. We never had an argument.

"And some of it is because I'm at this point in life where if she wants to paint the wall red, I don't care. You get to a point in life where you just go, why would that be a discussion or an argument?"
The 64-year-old actor - who previously admitted he thought he 'didn't have much of a chance' with Amal, 47 - went on to say: "We have a really amazing relationship because we're also so supportive of each other that it's like I don't care. When I was younger, I don't know that that would have been the case - I think I would have found things to, you know, stick my chest out about.
"It doesn't matter. I don't care."

The Ocean’s Eleven star also opened up about aging and the lessons that come with it, admitting he’s trying to focus more on what truly matters.
"When I turned 60, Amal and I talked about it and I said, 'Look, 60 years old, I can still play basketball with the boys. I’m still athletic. But in 25 years, I’ll be 85. And that’s a real number'," he explained.

"So, we have to focus on spending time with our family, spending time with the people we love because at the end of your life, you don’t go, 'I wish I worked more'."

Clooney and Amal first met through a mutual friend back in 2013, before tying the knot a year later in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy.
In 2017, they welcomed twins Alexander and Ella.
Amal has also spoken fondly about her husband, calling him 'the brightest light' during her 2023 DVF Awards speech.
After more than a decade together, it seems the secret to their success is as simple as choosing peace over pride - and we're all here for that!
