Melania Trump reveals her 'greatest triumph' as Donald admits he doesn't know 'what she’s doing'

The First Lady has stunned the president with her move

Melania Trump has announced what project she's campaigning for next year, much to the bewilderment of her husband.

The First Lady rarely makes a public appearance, occasionally spotted at major events alongside President Donald Trump.

However, the 55-year-old former model is rather passionate about young people and the online harms they face and occasionally speaks out to raise awareness to the issue.

During the Congressional Ball on Thursday (December 11), Melania took her chance to do exactly that, announcing that she's planning on launching a new law next year after the success of it in 2025.

Meanwhile, the 79-year-old POTUS appeared completely oblivious to her initiative.

"I hope you will be excited to support my new legislative initiative in 2026,” Melania said.

“Some of you already know about it, because it is already in the works.”

Later, Trump admitted he only heard about it right there and then for the 'first time'.

"The only thing I can tell you,” Trump said, “I know one thing for sure: It is going to be great for children.

“I don’t know what it is she’s doing, but it’s going to be great for children, because she loves children.

"If she puts it out, it’ll be maybe unanimous again or whatever that was. But very close."

The move comes as Melania urged lawmakers back in March this year to crack down on so-called revenge porn, demanding it be made a federal crime.

While speaking before Capitol Hill, she pushed for a bipartisan bill that would tackle non-consensual pornography being shared online as well as AI-generated intimate images.

The mom said artificial intelligence is already being used to create 'deepfake' porn images of victims without their consent and create a 'toxic' space online for young people to navigate.

Her proposed Take It Down bill would make it a crime to post and create such images and would apply pressure to technology companies to remove the content within 48 hours.

Raising the matter again this week in her address to Congress, she elaborated: "As the president said, our greatest triumph in the First Lady office in 2025 is the Take It Down Act.

"I appreciate all of your support, I appreciate your bipartisan, overwhelmingly bipartisan, support, across the House and the Senate," she continued before thanking the speaker, Mike Johnson.

Her husband signed off on the Take It Down Act back in May, marking it as one of the first significant pieces of legislation to be passed by Congress.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) sponsored the bill, which saw it pass through the Senate with unanimous consent.

The House also approved it 409-2 before it landed on Trump's desk for final approval.

During the historic moment, Trump handed the pen to the First Lady, encouraging her to add her signature to the bill since she 'deserves to sign it'.

"America is blessed to have such a dedicated and compassionate first lady," he added.

Her address to Congress this week also comes as the Slovenian-born mom launched her production company, Muse Films, just weeks ago, while a documentary, Melania, teasing behind-the-scene footage of the famous family is set drop in theatres on January 30.

The doc has been in the works since November 2024 and includes the Trumps move to the White House in January this year.
