The latest approval ratings of the president reveal what Americans are really thinking amid the Epstein controversy.
President Donald Trump's approval ratings have taken yet another nose dive according to a new poll, plummeting to the lowest ever since his return to power.
Earlier this month, research on 1,245 Americans between 27 and 30 October gave the POTUS an eye-watering 63 percent disapproval rating, almost close to his lowest score ever recorded by CNN which came in the aftermath of the Capitol Hill riot in January 2021.
Now, a Reuters/Ipsos poll, conducted over four days up until Monday, suggests Americans are increasingly unhappy about the spiralling cost of living crisis and the stalling progress in the investigation on the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The results find his approval rating slumped to 38 percent, having fallen two percentage points since a Reuters/Ipsos poll in early November.

The poll surveyed 1,017 US adults across the country and has a margin of error of about percentage points.
Meanwhile, the new poll shows Trump's approval rating among Republicans is even waning, down 82 percent from 86 earlier this month.
The insight comes as Trump's Republican Party is beginning to show signs of weakness, the outlet reports, with the Republican-controlled House of Representatives passing a measure just on Tuesday (November 18) to force the release of the so-called Epstein files from the hands of the Justice Department.
Trump has appeared to oppose the decision for weeks now, even falling out with one of his strongest allies in Congress, Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who insists his sudden public criticism of her comes after she pressed him on releasing the files.
However, though lawmakers could press ahead with releasing the files without his support, the White House has claimed Trump will sign the bill when it reaches his desk.
Still, the issue is clearly having an impact on voters, with just 20 percent of respondents, including 44 percent of Republicans, stating they approve how Trump has handled the Epstein case.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll also found 70 percent of those surveyed, including 87 percent of Democrats and 60 percent of Republicans, said they think the government is hiding information about Epstein's alleged clients.
Yet Doug Heye, a Republican political strategist, says it's 'all about prices.'

"People are furious when they go out and spend money at the grocery store, and they can't believe what they are spending."
A little more than a quarter (26 percent) of Americans believe Trump is doing well at managing the cost of living, down from 29 percent earlier this month, while 65 percent of participants, including one in three Republicans, said they disapprove of Trump's performance on tackling the issue.
