As the much talked about McDonald's adult Happy Meal launched in US restaurants earlier this week, many have flocked to the fast good giant to try them out.

For the most part, people are lovin' it, but there are a few who don't think it was a good idea.

McDonald's launched the adult Happy Meals in the US on Monday (3 October) in partnership with Cactus Plant Flea Market.

The new adult meals lets you choose between a Big Mac or a ten-piece Chicken McNuggets, accompanied by fries and a drink.

But that's not all - because as you would expect from a Happy Meal, a collectible toy is also included.

McDonald's fans will have the opportunity to collect four toys which are: Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie and a new character called Cactus Buddy.

The fast good giant has said that adult Happy Meals are available in-restaurant, in the Drive-Thru or via the McDonald’s app, but have warned customers they are available while stocks last.

Ahead of its release earlier this week, Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, said: “We're taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald's experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that's hyper-relevant for our adult fans.

With the adult Happy Meal, there are four collectible toys to collect.

“I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week. With menu favourites like the Big Mac and McNuggets at the centre of this collab, this is another way we're reigniting a new generation’s love for our food and the brand.”

Many McDonald's customers have taken to social media to discuss their opinion on the adult Happy Meals.

Accompanying a picture of an adult Happy Meal, one user on Twitter said: "I'm way too excited for this."

A second added: "Me and my boyfriend got the adult happy meals yesterday it was good but they should make the toy a disposable vape pen."

A third was critical: "McDonalds will do anything to get you back in their restaurants. To serve you cold french fries and a small Big Mac burger."

And a fourth said: "Ok so I know McDonalds is doing adult happy meals which is like. ok whatever but whaaattt is up with their eyes why do they have four eyes?????"
