McDonald’s is set to launch Happy Meals for adults complete with a collectible toy inside - and I think I really need to collect them all, to be honest.

The Happy Meal was a staple childhood treat for many of us, but of course, as we grow up they get phased out in favour of the main menu and a more substantial order.

However, some McDonald’s fans will now be able to grab themselves a grown-up version of the beloved Happy Meal, with a grown-up Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets.

The Happy Meal, which is being launched in conjunction with Cactus Plant Flea Market, also comes with fries and a drink.

The new adult Happy Meals go on sale next week.

And, of course, no Happy Meal would be complete without a toy inside the box - so, there’s also four collectible figurines: Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie and a new character called Cactus Buddy.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box is the first of its kind and the box features a Cactus Plant Flea Market’s signature style alongside McD’s iconic Golden Arches.

They go on sale on October 3 in US stores - you can grab one in-restaurant, in the Drive-Thru or via the McDonald’s app, but be quick as they’re available while stocks last.

Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer said: “We're taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald's experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that's hyper-relevant for our adult fans.

“I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week. With menu favourites like the Big Mac and McNuggets at the centre of this collab, this is another way we're reigniting a new generation’s love for our food and the brand.”

The meal comes with a collectible figurine.

Customers who order the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box using the McDonald’s app will be automatically entered into a prize draw ‘for a chance to score exclusive merch for free every week’.

The ‘merch’ in question, includes t-shirts and a Grimace Chair, which sounds pretty cool, if you ask me.

You can also order merchandise, including hoodies, t-shirts and other collectibles, separately at cpfmmcdonalds.com from October 3 at 11 a.m. ET - much like the Happy Meals themselves, all items will be on sale until stocks run out, so if you do fancy getting your hands on something, don’t hang around.
