A sex therapist addressed what she has found to be two of the most common fetishes that people admit to having.

Sex therapist Charlene Douglas revealed what is the most common fetish and a growing one she has seen from some of her clients in recent years.

While sex tends to feel amazing as a standard, most people have other little additions, conditions and fantasies that can healthily elevate the experience even more. There are some common trends, and Douglas broke down the most common fetish she has noticed which might actually surprise some people.

Speaking to LADbible Stories during an Honesty Box session, Douglas answered a question on what is the most common fetish and how its popularity is growing.

She said: “I would say that threesomes are probably the kind of main fantasies that people have, but recently I have found that more and more people are interested in voyeurism.

“So they are getting really turned on by people watching them have sex.

“There was a couple that I was working with that had said that they really enjoy having sex in hotels but it needs to have a window where people can see them. So yeah, anything to do with voyeurism is becoming more and more popular.”

With that said, the sex therapist also noted that there is a fetish she has heard from clients that has her surprised each time due to it seemingly being so rare, at least based on her patients.

She continued: “Although, probably the whole time that I have worked as a sex therapist there have been three or four people that have shared the same fetish with me.

“I am probably shocked every time I hear it, only because it is so rare. It is so different.

“There is one particular guy, he said he really enjoys smelling his woman’s vulva, like inside, lips apart, nose right in there.

“He said for him to get really turned on, it needs to be really smelly.”

She admitted that the man found it funny when he made this admission to her, as Douglas struggled to hold back her own smile. She also went on to explain how the man telling his girlfriend shifted their sexual dynamic.

She added: “What has happened over a period of years is that she has become quite turned on from this fantasy, this fetish as well.

“He doesn’t quite know where this fetish came from but he thinks when he was a teenager, there was a dare that was that he should smell some smelly knickers from a woman and he did it and he noticed from that he became sexually aroused.”

Whatever gets your rocks off, I suppose...
