A private investigator has shared some habits which could be a sign that your partner is not being faithful.

When it comes to relationships, cheating is probably one of the most difficult challenges for couples to overcome.

Sometimes, cheating can happen when a relationship is already on the rocks as a symptom of deeper problems, or in other instances, infidelity can seemingly come out of the blue.

Granted, there are also degrees of cheating - a drunken and instantly regretted kiss at the work Christmas party is not the same as a sustained affair which has been going on for months, with all the elaborate lies that entail.

Nonetheless, any form of cheating represents a massive breach of trust in a relationship, which can be very difficult for a couple to move past, if they do at all.

Now, a private investigator has shared some signs with LADBible Stories that someone is not currently being faithful.

Private Investigator Mike LaCorte has 30 years of experience in his field, and shared that despite perceptions around the job, 'matrimonial cases' are not his most common form of work.

Nonetheless, he shared some of the signs which might mean that someone's partner is playing away.

So what are the signs that something is up?

A change in how your partner interacts

Well, he explained that a big one is changes to your partner from how they were historically in the relationship.

"You need to go back historically and your interaction with your partner," he said. "And if there's a change then there could be something going on."

But what could these changes look like?

"One is more secrecy over her devices, her phones, was the phone left around?" he said. "Were her comms devices left openly available for anyone to look at historically? Has that changed?"

Changes in appearance

Another sign is if you notice that your partner has had a glow up.

"There could be some more care in personal appearance," said the PI. "New clothes, exercise activity, any type of personal appearance drastic improvement and change."

But there's one thing in particular which LaCorte says is a big red flag.

Changes in routine

"The biggest one for me is unaccountable time," he said.

He explained: "If there are period of unaccountable time during the working week or the week where you have those timings have changed where you've no idea where your partner is, they're coming back late."

"Any of these unaccountable time windows that weren't there during the relationship before."

Of course, none of these means for certain that your partner is cheating.

There could also be an innocent explanation, like they might be planning a surprise gift, have gone on a health kick, or have a new job with demanding hours. But if you're suspicious, these signs could be a good early indicator.
