What counts as a micropenis as man with 'world's smallest' reveals how it impacts his life

The medical definition of a micropenis has been explained.

It might be a term that thrown around for someone who has a very small appendage down there, but in fact there is a precise definition of a micropenis in medicine.

The health condition is quite rare, affecting around 0.6 percent of the global population. In the US, the average penis size is around 5.6 inches when erect according to World Population Review, placing it firmly in the middle of penis sizes around the world.

So if you're worried that you're not packing something that would do credit to a stallion, don't worry, the chances are you're probably about average.

And in any case, after a certain point having one which is very large could become uncomfortable or even painful for a partner, and that's no good.

However, a micropenis is significantly smaller than this average measurement, with the medical definition coming in at 3.67 inches or less.

Cleveland Clinic explained that it can be caused by fetal testosterone deficiency - where there isn't enough testosterone in the womb. It can be diagnosed during infancy, and if caught then it can be countered with hormonal therapy that helps the old chap to develop to a more average size.

But this was not the case for Michael Phillips, who claims to have the smallest penis and very much fits the definition of the rare medical condition.

Speaking to IGV Official in a resurfaced interview, he said: “I’m still not sure that I have yet fully come to terms with having a micropenis."

Michael, 36, from North Carolina, shared that he has found dating to be a challenge.

“The biggest challenges I’ve faced [are] having a sexual relationship and still being a virgin and being able to talk about it openly because of how embarrassing of a topic it is,” he said.

Speaking to The Sun, he revealed: “I have had a couple experiences of having sex and wasn’t able to get it in and everything.

“From there I just stopped trying to date and lost interest in it.”

Now, Michael is trying to raise awareness of the condition, saying: “You can choose to be happy just being here in this great world we live in.

“Find people you are confident in sharing your problem with, and they might surprise you with how understanding and accepting they are.”

Big or small, if you are the sort of man who likes people with a vagina, then it's worth remembering there are plenty of other ways to keep your partner happy.
