A heart surgeon has rated 'unhealthy habits' out of 10, revealing just how bad the likes of drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana are for your health.
Regularly smoking marijuana has been linked to a number of health conditions. As per Cleveland Clinic, although the long-term effects of smoking marijuana are still being understood, studies show that using the drug during young adulthood could affect brain function, including attention, memory and learning.
Meanwhile, smoking marijuana can 'damage your lungs, increase your risk of bronchitis and scar small blood vessels'.
It also increases the risk of stroke, heart disease and other vascular conditions, as well as being linked to a higher risk of developing schizophrenia.

Now, one heart surgeon, @drjeremylondon has spoken about how bad marijuana is for your health, after sharing a video on TikTok.
In the clip, Jeremy is asked by his son: "Dad, as a heart surgeon how bad are these things for you on a scale of 1-10?"
When asked about marijuana, Dr Jeremy said: "I'll give that one an eight. The recent data has shown an increased risk of cardiovascular disease with chronic marijuana use.
"The problem is people say it's natural so it must be safe, not the case."

Dr Jeremy also rated alcohol as a 10/10, adding: "Alcohol is toxic to every cell in the body.
"There is really no amount of alcohol that is truly safe."
Cancer Research UK explains that drinking alcohol increases your risk of cancer.
They explain: "When we drink alcohol, our bodies turn it into a chemical, called acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde can damage our cells and can also stop cells from repairing this damage."
They explain that drinking alcohol can cause seven types of cancer, including:
- Breast cancer and bowel cancer
- Mouth cancer
- Some types of throat cancer: oesophagus, larynx and pharynx
- Liver cancer

Dr Jeremy also gave his view on processed meats and plastic cutting boards, rating processed meats as five out of 10 and plastic chopping boards as a five.
"Using plastic cutting boards regularly over the course of a year, you can ingest up to almost 50g of microplastics, that's the same as 10 credit cards," he said.
"There's been a tend in the data to show that this can affect fertility, endocrine function and maybe even cardiovascular health."
Dr Jeremy explained that wooden chopping board would be a good alternative to plastic.
