Woman who went to 'weirdest McDonald's in the world' is left shocked by everything you can buy

People who travel around the world see some amazing places, but one thing that always surprises people is how different McDonald's can be depending on where you are.

While the first ever McDonald's was created in the US, it's been suggested that its fast food actually tastes better outside of America.

It comes down to preference, of course, but scientists have also weighed in on the matter and suggested that McDonald's offerings taste somewhat better outside of the US because the country 'allows additives and preservatives into our food that other countries do not'.

These things make the food taste different, said nutritionist Dr Renee Exelbert.

As to where's the best for McDonald's, one guy suggested that it's Japan.

Then there's the weirdest McDonald's which, according to one TikToker, is in Australia.

Eloise Fouladgar was recently at Sydney International Airport, which opened a very modern and tech-forward McDonald's restaurant back in 2018.

The quirky eatery has its kitchen located above the counter (rather than behind it like most places), and the food is delivered to staff members below by a conveyor belt.

The reason they designed it like that was because of the 'limited space' they had.

McDonald’s Australia senior development director, Josh Bannister, said at the time of its opening: "The new Sydney Airport restaurant is unique for McDonald’s in Australia. Working with limited space, we needed to be creative in how we designed the restaurant to present our customers with the best possible dining experience."

With its unusual design in mind, Eloise, who boasts almost five million followers on TikTok, helmed the restaurant as 'the weirdest McDonald's in the world'.

Adding to its uniqueness is the options on this particular McDonald's menu.

Documenting what she ordered, Eloise opted for a caramel-flavored McCafe Deluxe Iced Coffee with almond milk (which she went on to hail as 'the best iced coffee I've ever tried'), some Biscoff McPops, and other items from the bakery.

She also ordered a pot of Big Mac Special Sauce, a sachet of Vegemite seasoning to put on her fries, and a standard cheeseburger.

Eloise largely had good reviews about all the items she tried, but did find that the cheeseburger was 'dripping in oil'.

To conclude her video about the 'weird' McDonald's, which has been viewed over 566,000 times in 24 hours, Eloise said the iced coffee and Vegemite seasoned fries were her favorite items.
