Elon Musk had a less than excited reception after attending the Valorant Champions 2023.

The event sees the best gamers go head to head in a tournament that has more than $2 million in prize money.

While it seems like the tech billionaire was just there surveying the talent, it appears not everyone was excited to see him.

When Musk's face popped up on the big screen, there was a huge reaction.

Amongst all the cheers, there were loads of boos that rang out in the arena in Los Angeles.

Not only that, but you could hear people chanting 'bring back Twitter' as they're seemingly annoyed that the platform has changed over the last few months.

There's no denying the social media brand has seen a huge shake up.

Elon Musk bought Twitter for roughly $44 billion and quickly worked at transforming it.

There were mass layoffs as the tech billionaire claimed the company was deeply in the red and they needed to usher in a new generation to steer it back into the black.

Apart from the odd glitch here and there, that was just internal stuff that people barely noticed in terms of user experience.

Then Musk started digging into the code and changing things that were previously sacred on Twitter.

The limit on the number of characters was increased dramatically and that allowed people to tweet essays of content when it was previously confined to just 280 letters, numbers or symbols.

The blue check mark that noted whether it was an 'official' account was also removed and people had to then pay for that honor.

Musk also revealed that users would get banned if they linked to other social media rivals in the hope that people would remain on Twitter.

However, in late July Twitter went through its biggest transformation when it was officially rebranded to X.

The blue bird was dumped and replaced with a black background and white X logo.

Who knows what the people at the Valorant Champions 2023 meant when they said 'bring back Twitter' as it could genuinely be about loads of different things related to the social media platform.

But, one thing is for certain, some really don't like the new normal for Twitter/X.
