Dentist Reveals Insanely Rare ‘Dental Unicorn’

A dentist has revealed a rare situation which, if you claimed to have seen it in real life, would leave others in disbelief.

A dentist has revealed a rare situation which, if you claimed to have seen it in real life, would leave others in his profession thinking you were 'on drugs' or 'dreaming'.

Despite the fact they help us maintain dazzling smiles, dentists aren't necessarily the most popular workers out there, with many people associating them with injections, x-rays and that horrific tooth-scraping device.

It's not the best reputation to have, but Doctor Brady Smith is helping to remind people that dentists aren't solely about pulling teeth, by sharing insights to his life and work on TikTok, where he has racked up thousands of followers.

Proving that dentistry isn't just about brushing and flossing, Smith presents one bizarre scene from his profession below:

I can't say I've ever walked in to my dentist's office and said 'you'll NEVER guess what kind of teeth I saw today', but perhaps that's just because I've never come across Smith's so-called 'dental unicorn'.

In the clip, the dentist set the scene by stressing that you'd probably struggle to convince others of the reality of the 'dental unicorn', but confirmed that 'it exists, and now you have video proof'.

Smith went on to reveal an image of a person showing off their teeth, however the front two were not as you might expect.

'What is that you ask? My, that looks like that person has molars instead of front teeth. Well, that's because this person has molars instead of front teeth,' Smith explained.

For those who aren't familiar with the types of teeth we have, molars are the wider teeth usually found towards the back of the jaw, while the ones at the front are incisors.

Questioning how the person in the photo came to have teeth that should be at the back of the mouth located at the front, Smith asked whether a witch had 'cast a spell' on them, and admitted he was 'so excited' by the discovery that he didn't want to cover the teeth.

Unfortunately, however, the patient had apparently been 'made fun of' for the unusual placement of their teeth, so the dentist 'just did some composite stuff on the teeth around' to make the front pair appear as if they were incisors. Though the molars are no longer visible on the patient, they will live on in the image and in Smith's video, which has racked up more than five million views from baffled TikTok users.
