Bill Cosby sued again for sexual assault as nine new alleged victims come forward

The disgraced actor is now facing a slew of new charges that claim he drugged and raped the women between 1979 and 1992.

Bill Cosby is facing allegations of drugging, sexual assault, and rape from nine new alleged victims as fresh claims were levied against the disgraced television star in a US court.

The suit was filed in Nevada's US District Court after a 2023 law obliterated the statute of limitations for sexual assault.

That means that any victim can now chase their alleged abusers in the Nevada legal system, regardless of how historic the sex attack may be.

It is this legislative upheaval that has seen nine women come forward to accuse the now-disgraced comedian with a string of fresh charges that are reminiscent of similar accusations Cosby had thrown out of court in 2021 on appeal.

As per the lawsuit, cited by the ABC, Cosby faces charges of sexual assault, battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.

A total of nine women were named in the litigation, with them all coming forward to share their previously unheard allegations against the TV star.

Those women are Lise Lotte-Lublin, Lili Bernard, Janice Baker-Kinney, Rebecca Cooper, Linda Kirkpatrick, Janice Dickinson, Angela Leslie, Pam Joy Abeyta and Heidi Thomas.

As per the court documents, the women were individually drugged and assaulted between approximately 1979 and 1992.

The attacks happened in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe and occurred in dressing rooms, hotels, and even people's homes.

One of the women alleges that the now-disgraced TV star lured her from New York to Nevada on the promise he would be her acting mentor.

Once she was across state lines he drugged her in a hotel room by giving her what he claimed to be non-alcoholic sparkling cider.

Once she was incapacitated, the woman alleges he then raped her.

Another suit was filed against Cosby in December 2022.

Five women filed a lawsuit against the actor and also named NBC for being complicit in his crimes, as per ABC News.

According to the outlet, the lawsuits claims that Cosby 'used his power, fame, and prestige, including the power, fame and prestige given to him by defendants NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Kaufman Astoria Studios, Inc., and The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC, to misuse his enormous power in such a nefarious, horrific way'.

More than 60 women have now accused the 85-year-old former star of The Cosby Show of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment.

Cosby had repeatedly denied all allegations.

The two new suits come nearly two years after the entertainer was freed three years into his maximum 10-year prison sentence.

He had been convicted in 2018 of three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting one of his accusers, Andrea Constand, in 2004.

He was freed from prison after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court found that prosecutors in the case violated the actor’s right to due process.
